Description

Sales Specialists & Consultants are product, services, software or solution specialists that are responsible for leading pursuit in their assigned focus areas. Collaborates with and supports Account Managers and provides specialist expertise within the sales team. Drives proactive campaigns to build the pipeline, uses specialized knowledge and skills to prospect, qualify, negotiate and close opportunities. May have named accounts allocated, cover a designated geography, or may be allocated to one high-potential, competitive attack account. They also work closely with Pre Sales consultants to develop optimized solutions for customers with a focus on maximizing HP's chances of winning the business.
The Software Sales Specialist is responsible for selling HP BTO portfolio comprising of EMS, ITSM and ITFM Products in his / her assigned list of accounts or geographic territory or industry vertical, focusing on new business as well as up-selling within installed base. Good Knowledge of marketing campaigns to align initiatives with account planning activities is also required.
At least 3 years of Business to Business (B2B) IT Sales Experience, preferably selling HP BTO Software Portfolio consisting of EMS, ITSM and ITFM or equivalent solutions from prominent vendors like CA, BMC, IBM etc. Else at least 5 years of B2B IT Enterprise Sales experience in a metro location selling Enterprise systems / software / services solutions. Should have demonstrated ability to understand the customer's business challenges /objectives and provide value added services and solutions.

Qualifications

Educational qualifications: BE, preferably MBA.
