Emergency Specialist

Purpose Of The Post

Under the general supervision of the Chief, Emergency, the incumbent will be responsible for providing expert technical advice through monitoring of the emergency threats and effectively responding to emergency situations as per UNICEF’s mission and mandate; identification, formulation of project/donor proposals.

Follow up on emergency and disaster risk reduction programmes’ implementation; monitoring and evaluation of emergency programmes; liaison, partnership and advocacy with the government, UN and NGO partners in disaster risk reduction. The incumbent will be assisting country office/state offices in the emergency preparedness and response programmes.
