Responsibilities

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 Work with Industry Professional for new technologies for E & E aggregates / systems & there application road maps for new /Current Platforms
 Allocation and monitoring of EE Resources for New / Upgrade Programs for timely executions as per NPI plans
 Instrumental in defining Departmental Goals and Objectives
 Identification of forward Engineering Programs and budget approvals
 Conduct DFMEAs, Design reviews, Control on drawing releases & vehicle E & E configuration.
 Plan for aggregate testing with simulation results.
 Involve in Homologation of E & E systems and interaction with government agencies.
 Ensuring timely project planning, execution and monitoring of projects for development of various E & E aggregates / systems.
 Plan & support the prototype vehicle build for establishing the validation & reliability of E & E aggregates / systems.
 Develop people for superior performance a) Motivate and Guide subordinates to enable them achieve organisational goals b) Periodically review subordinate performance and identify development needs c) Organise relevant training for employee development
 Establish the system to ensure that all the activities of the group are properly tracked for timing and quality.
 Retain skills / expertise developed in Research activities.

JOB SPECIFICATION:

 Experience in design and development of one or more of the following E & E aggregates & systems:
1. Instrument Cluster
2. Switches
3. Infotainment System, Radios, Navigation, Speakers & Antennas
4. FATC/HVAC E&E system
5. Body Control Module, Immobilizer, and Alarm system.
6. ECU's for Power train, Chassis Systems, Active & Passive Safety Systems and it’s sensors.
 Knowledge of automotive electronic control systems - Functional, design aspects, application & integration. Understanding of the functional and physical interactions between vehicle sub-systems.
 Should have understanding of various manufacturing Processes.
 Should have worked as E & E lead engineer for at least two vehicle development cycles
 Simulation Hands ON -For aggregate development verification, Model Development, Test cases generation.
 Design optimization based on simulation tools will be preferred.
 Working knowledge of problem solving techniques and design optimization, Benchmarking, Warranty Analysis, Cost Reduction, Value Engg.
 Strong analytical skills. Excellent communication skills. Ability to lead the team to achieve the required functional / cost / weight / timing & quality objectives.
 Awareness of 3D CAD packages such as CATIA V5, CAD data layouts, Digital Mock Ups (DMU)
 Exposure to styling and aesthetics.
 Knowledge of all legislative standards(AIS) and new regulations.(CMVR, EEC, ECE,ADR, FMVSS etc)
 Knowledge about new technology and future trends in automotive vehicle

Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor of Engineering/Technology in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation) or equivalent.
At least 14 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Preferably Assistant General Managers/ Deputy General Managers specializing in Engineering - Electrical/ Electronics/ Instrumentation or equivalent. Job role in R&D
