Description
In this position, you will be leading automation and validation of software applications with Intel� server platforms. These applications range from command-line tools to those containing a rich user-interface and a slew of features used for configuration, deployment and management of Intel servers. These applications are used by a worldwide customer base of thousands of MNCs and channel customers. You will be exposed to a good work environment and the potential to work on the latest server technologies (DDR3*, FB-DIMM*, power management., virtualization and others), platforms (multi-core and others) and exciting opportunities in software applications (SW as a service, High Performance Computing (HPC)/HDC/Embedded environment). Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Techniclly lead Software Validation for the above mentioned SW applications.
- Evaluating the applications with respect to functionality and/or performance and others
- Test planning and Test specification development and implementation
- Designing new test methodology and new test technology
- Responsible for automation of the test suites
- Working with automation tools for various Basic Input Output System (BIOS), firmware and the system features
- Working with globally dispersed cross-functional groups on technical issues and it's resolution.
- Benchmark our SW products with respect to competitior products, publish reports and recommendations.
- Interact closely with internal and end customers and address issues faced by them.
- Capability to conduct Boot Camps on our products and aid in bringing awareness of our products in the market.
Qualifications
You should possess a Bachelor of Engineering degree with more than six years of experience in software development and/or validation. Additional qualifications include:
- Prior experience in leading a validation team, resolving technical problems and issues and effective stake holder management
- Programming and scripting skills at an intermediate level
- Knowledge of automated as well as manual testing
- Good communication skills
