Description

Job Description: In this position, you will be responsible for working closely with different Intel product/business groups on various R&D projects, mainly focusing on system level SW areas such as OS kernel, BIOS/Firmware/USB/PCIe development, network/graphics driver development, etc. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education, judgment and formal software process.The good performer will have opportunity to take key roles in the projects and the team.

Qualifications

Educational background and working experience:
-Must hold Bachelor�s (or higher) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
-At least 2 years experience in system level software development/validation
Technical skills:
- Proficient programming and/or debug and/or troubleshooting skills in system level software development for example, OS kernel development, driver development, BIOS/firmware development, etc.
- Proficient in C and/or C++, assembly languages, data structure and algorithm
- Device driver development knowledge under Windows* and/or Linux*, GFX driver development & debug experience & expertise is a strong preference.
- Proficient in one or more popular development tools like Visual Studio, GCC and others
- Intel� architectures like IA-32, IA-64
- Ability to write, review, and revise technical documentation
- Experience in the open source software development process will be added advantage
Soft skills:
- Strong self-learning capability in different technical areas
- Excellent communication skill with internal or external partners and customers
- Comfortable with working in a fast paced environment
- Strong sense on team work, customer orientation, quality and discipline would be an added advantage
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment


Business Group

Intel's Information Technology Group (IT) designs, deploys and supports the information technology architecture and hardware/software applications for Intel. This includes the LAN, WAN, telephony, data centers, client PCs, backup and restore, and enterprise applications. IT is also responsible for e-Commerce development, data hosting and delivery of Web content and services.
In this position, you will be joining IT Flex Services-Platform Software & Technology team as a Software Engineer. You will have opportunities to work with different Intel product/business groups on various R&D projects, mainly focusing on embedded and/or system area.
