Job Description



Job Description: Requires proficiency and working knowledge of finance, accounting and business analysis. Bachelor�s Degree in Finance, Business or Accounting and/or prolonged course of study in a business or job related field. Related practical experience is preferred. Consistently utilizes and applies financial, accounting, business and risk management strategies and concepts. Autonomously evaluates and analyzes financial information and business trends to develop reconciliations, variance explanations, risk assessments, and solutions. Provides financial advice, counseling, and recommendation that significantly influences the decision-making process and direction of varying levels of business leaders including project leads, managers, operational business groups and factories. Independently develops financial budgets, plans, forecasts to further the development and achievement of business objectives. Evaluates cost and return on financial and investment decisions. Independently evaluates accounting and reporting and recommends solutions to ensure the integrity of external and internal reporting. Inadequacies in performance and erroneous decisions can lead to inefficient use of resources and loss of business. Plans, performs and schedules own work with general management direction. Assignments are delivered in the form of overall goals and expected results.


Responsibilities


Provide varying levels of counsel and general financial information to operational business groups to assist and/or drive the business decision making process. Ensures compliance with generally accepted reporting standards and corporate policies to ensure the integrity of external and internal reporting. General information and counsel may be provided in the areas of pricing, cost, marketing strategies, return on investment decisions, and the development of overall business plans and strategies. Supports the business control function by closing the books, analyzing variances and trends, and developing financial forecasts that are consistent with the business objectives of the organization.


Responsibilities include supporting Intel�s Mobile and Communications Group (MCG) groups that drives Intel�s Handset and Tablet development. Key Responsibilities include budgeting and planning during Plan/POR/ update activities, monthly financial close reporting, financial analysis, monitoring and enforcing controls, management of department spending including headcount, discretionary expenses, burden, BTI and Capital and help the business in reporting relevant financial information to various stakeholders. The role envisages understanding of product roadmaps, overall business direction and driving strategic projects and continuous process improvements.


Qualifications


The ideal candidate will have strong influence and business partnership skills. In addition, ability to work independently, attention to detail (data accuracy and integrity) and the ability to summarize complex data into crisp messages is critical to success. MBA desired with at least 3 years of prior work experience in ops finance.
