# Web Developer / Software Specialist Job Description


Individual will be responsible for assisting with the project lifecycle for web based software tools from requirements gathering through go live, support, future releases and ongoing maintenance. Must understand which requirements can be met through use of current web programming technologies such as but not limited to AJAX, Javascript, CSS, HTML 5.0, and Web 2.0 user interface advancements. Individual will be fluent in programming such technologies and will work alone or with other members of a team to construct a web tool. Additionally, individual should be knowledgable of SQL and importing data from a DB2 database to another relational DB. Having knowledge of MySQL and managing a MySQL database is a plus.


More than 5 years in Web Development experience required


More than 16 years of education required


# Technical Skills:


Web 2.0 (AJAX, JAVASCRIPT, HTML 4/5)


Some UI (Uder Interface) experience


PHP 5 knowledge and Experience
Knowledge of Web Application Architectures on Windows running Apache Web Server or Linux/Apache


Knowledge of Managing and connecting with relational database systems
including MySQL & IBM DB2


Troubleshooting skills


System Development Life Cycle (Project managing)


Analysis/Requirements Gathering
