The Ovi Service team is looking for an experienced and talented individual in the mobile merchandising field to help with the next wave of growth of the Ovi's mobile marketplace. As Merchandising Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead and drive significant new business initiatives for the Ovi platform, working in a fast-paced environment and on a global scale. Successful candidates will bring extensive background in the business, marketing, or operational aspects of a digital content or online commerce business.
The Merchandising Manager will:
Drive and manage the overall retail appearance, tone of voice of the Ovi Store globally and locally, and the effectiveness and financial results of those efforts.
Plan and execute regular promotions and spotlights for the various categories using the relevant tools
Coordinate a team of externals to execute these promotion on a global and regional/local level
Interpret sales figures and historical data to indentify trends, facilitate planning and optimize business performance and catalogue planning
Run periodic reviews with partners in conjunction with the partnering team
Support the on-going development of Publish to Ovi Store business and its technical requirements
Work closely with the Merchandising Enablers team to put forward requirements for new enablers that will help optimize and automate the merchandising experience
Work closely with the analytics team to develop and implement content reporting standards
Qualifications
Required Experience
Digital Merchandising experience: 5+ years experience in digital merchandising or related positions (with upper management experience).
Operational Marketing and management: Track record of running all facets of a digital store, including sales promotions, marketing and store campaigns
Marketing experience: A successful 5 years track record demonstrating capabilities in marketing and e-commerce or related mobile/internet activities.
Regional / International Experience: Track record of success in Global roles / with Global responsibility, including ability to operate and influence within a multinational, matrixed environment.
Leadership: Experience in managing direct reports both at a global and local level. Have built cross-country teams to co-ordinate a multi-level international and national strategy
Education. Minimum of Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years in commercial/media related industries.
Commercial acumen. Clear ability to predict consumer trends from a marketing and sales perspective.
Technical Understanding. Broad understanding of core mobile and multi-media technologies is essential.
