Description
UMG windows graphics team is seeking for an experienced driver development Engineer. In this position, you will be responsible for developing windows graphics driver for the latest in world-class low power graphics technologies. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Based on the product requirements and by working with architects, developers, and customer engineers, you will develop/design/implement graphics features in windows
- This will require developing a design, code, unit-test, debug and productize various gfx features spanning 3d/2d, display and video
- Work diligently to resolve issues found internal and external by effectively using debug tools and methodologies
- Debugging certification issues and resolving the same � across device whql, system whql, hdmi/hdcp certification
- Windows OS work potentially will span win7, vista and xp.
- Frequently interacting with developers, marketing, and validation engineers to optimize product definition and enable TTM
Qualifications
You should possess a Bachelor of Technology and/or Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Science) with minimum of 12 years or MS (Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Science) with ten years of relevant industry experience. Additional qualifications include:
- Skills should be broad and include technical and soft-skills
- Solid foundation in C, C++ programming
- Understanding of Windows operating systems, kernel mode programming, device drivers
- Any knowledge of graphics driver would be preferred specifically around DirectX and/or OpenGL and/or display interface and/or video processing
- Familiarity with WDDM 1.x would be an added advantage
- Ability to use windebugger
- Soft-skills include
- Highly motivated individuals and ability to deal with ambiguity
- Excellent team player
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and cope with a highly challenging environment
- Fast ramp-up and meets aggressive schedules
