Your Responsibilities:
The role incumbent will be responsible for technical leadership for the Microsoft competence group at Bangalore. He/She is responsible to ensure that the technical projects and competencies of Microsoft CG are in line with the global technical product roadmap. He/She is expected to work closely with Philips partners across the globe.
Your Profile:
Technical (70%)
· Is responsible for key technical decisions in the product program and roadmap
· Designs and describes the software architecture (world class level) of specific application
· Monitor software architectures and recommend ways and means of achieving synergy across projects and applications
·Is responsible for technology planning and will provide objective evaluation of new technologies/platform evaluation
·Defines/Approves any architectural changes in the product program
·Participates in startup activities of new projects or customers from technical perspective
·Monitors the Software Development Process to ensure productivity and quality of project deliverables by use of technological frameworks
People (30%)
·The role incumbent is expected to coach and mentor (senior) software engineers
· Identify current and future competency needs of the group and participate in establishing competency development plans
·Contributes towards the performance appraisal of the senior technical staff in the team
Skill set:
·Has worked on .Net Framework (C#, ASP.Net) and on Windows platforms
·Expert knowledge of various design patterns like – MVC/MVC2, J2EE, SoA etc
· Has defined solutions on Unified Communications (mobile, video, IM, presence indication, video conferencing etc)
· Has defined solutions in Windows Communication Framework, Silverlight
·Expert usage of various design/architectural tools – Rationale Rose, UML, OOAD
·Ability to direct database strategies with respect to performance, scalability etc using industry standard procedures techniques
·Expert in technological strategies on productivity & quality

o User Experience
· Preferable: Exposure to SharePoint
3) Personal Characteristics : Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills
· Strong analytical, problem solving skills

4) Educational Qualification : BE/BTech - preferrable Computer Science
Certifications related to software architecture (SoA, MVC etc) is preferred
