Job Family summary
Manages a team that is responsible for the planning, forecasting, scheduling, and monitoring of materials through the production process either computer systems or other products.
Principal Accountabilities
· Provides managerial leadership, coaching/feedback and development for direct reports and business partners.
· Ensures the effective management of production control for area of responsibility.
· Manages the introduction or transition of new products to production and phase out all replaced parts.
· Manages and reports inventory dollars, projections, and turns.
· Communication with other regional & central planning teams
· Oversees material flow and recommends safety stock and/or inventory levels to prevent stock outs.

Qualifications

Education
B.E/ B.Tech & Full time MBA from Top 10 Institutes
Experience
6 to 8 yrs of related Exp in production planning and control.
Knowledge & Skills
· Strong understanding of production control practices.
· Strong multitasking skills and ability to manage change.
· Strong detail orientation skills.
· Hands on knowledge in supply chain planning tools like i’2, SCP & FP modules. Also knowledge in ERP systems would be an added advantage.
· Significant focus on business process improvement.
· Superior communication & Analytical skills.
· Sound knowledge of general business.
· Possesses knowledge, skills and abilities required to resolve most issues referred by subordinate staff.
· Ability to coach and mentor team members.
· Knowledge of planning and forecasting techniques.
· Proven ability to manage a department or a group with multiple disciplines.
· Understands and ability to drive budgeting process.
· Strong financial acumen.
