Description
Responsibilities:
Creates and proposes complete architecture solutions within his/her domain of responsibility. Collaborates with peer architects to produce complete architectural solutions. Participates in the reviews of the architecture deliverables within the organization. Guides, instructs and mentors engineers to progress the project based on the architecture solutions. Seeks actively new opportunities and contributes key ideas to projects and programs. Applies a thorough understanding of the organization's processes to the project /program. Produces summaries of architecture issues to aid decision making in management boards. Maintains a broad view of emerging technologies and contributes in roadmap definition. Has specialist knowledge on a technical expert area & more than one cross functional competence areas independently carrying out consulting, specific functional work within a Business Unit/Geography. Assumes broad perspective. Resolves unique and highly complex problems within own discipline. Makes decisions about own and/or project work using known solutions as basis
Skill Set:
QT, QML, C++, Architectural expertise, Symbian, Meego, Exposure to Agile Methodologies, mobile applications expertise
Requirements
- 10-15 years of architecture experience within the mobile world
- Experience with web technologies
- Experience with QT applications is important
- Knowledge in developing internet services (backends, and web technologies) desirable
- QT knowledge desirable
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-initiated with an eagerness to learn
- SW development experience on embedded device
- Experience in performance analysis, benchmarking, and optimization
- Experience with development at the application and user interface level
- Services web integration experience (protocols, architecture)
- Understanding of Nokia device platforms (S40,S60, Meamo)
- Preferably 10+ years of relevant experience
- A positive, "can do" attitude
- Team player with an ability to clearly express his/her own, fact based views and proposals and also to listen and take into account others' opinions
Qualifications

Front end customer interactions, presentations and reviews
Effective communicator with excellent relationship building & interpersonal skills.
