Role Description:

Works as a senior engineer designing, developing and maintaining systems using mobile technologies, with primary focus on implementing applications on mobile handset. The candidate should be able to analyze requirements and translate them into software designs, applying appropriate design patterns.
(S)He should be able to interpret non-functional requirements and apply them in the implementation phase. (S)he will be expected to take up responsibilities as a scrum master, coach juniors and provide technical guidance to the project team

Key Skills:

Proficient in J2ME development
Strong understanding of SW design patterns
Excellent problem solving and debugging skills
Experience with JUnit and other related unit test tools
Experience with Agile methodology
Good communication skills and is able to interact with teams spread across geographies
Experience with SW configuration management tools like Synergy, SVN
Experience with error management tools like Jira, Bugzilla
Proficient understanding of entire SW development cycle


Job Responsibilities:

· Responsible for specifying, planning, reporting and testing features in his/her area
· Independently solves complex engineering problems in his/her own technology area
· Coaches other team members in solving engineering problems
· Actively participates in peer reviews and engages in working on non-functional requirements related to performance etc
· Ability to translate requirements to designs using SW design patterns
· Ability to translate UI design features in SW UI requirements

Degree in IT or a computer-related field
6-8 years of IT experience
