Your Responsibilities:
The key responsibility for the General Manager of the new DMC India is to create sustainable profitable growth for the BU iXR through its emerging markets strategy and portfolio. This is achieved through the following key areas of responsibility:


1. Business Planning and Strategy
Support the overall BU iXR Business Planning and Strategy. Responsibility for the realization of the unit’s Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Business Plan in line with targets of the RfA for the Alpha and Meditronics acquisition.
This includes:
 Creating and executing the strategic long term vision for Emerging markets for iXR.
 Planning and budgeting resulting in annual budgets including staff planning and investment planning reflecting the strategy of the BU iXR and continuously improving financial results. Monitor the financial and business performance of the unit and take corrective action to ensure plans and budgets are achieved.
 Lead by example in the pursuit of One Philips goals.

2. Product portfolio
Conceive, develop, and produce a competitive emerging markets product portfolio – including product, technology, service, application and cost / price road-maps – which will secure the market leadership position for the BU iXR.

3. Operational Improvement
Give leadership, initiative and drive to the process of implementing business improvement and excellence throughout the business processes of the unit in order to improve the competitive and operational efficiency.
The Supply Chain, inclusive the manufacturing operations is directly managed by Imaging Systems Operations organization (where the Operations Manager India has a direct reporting line to the IS Operations Manager and is sitting in the Management team of the GM DMC India).

4. Organizational Capability
Responsible for the development and maintenance of an effective and well-motivated management team for the unit; accountable for the development of a motivating and challenging environment for employees, building employee capability to enable increased performance. Develop and implement a culture and supporting processes that will enable the BU iXR to achieve levels of customer satisfaction that will differentiate it from the competition.

5. Performance Management
Establish performance objectives and targets for the unit which are consistent with those of the Sector and BU iXR and ensure performance is managed to achieve these objectives. Responsible for business and financial planning of the DMC India in Mumbai, India.

6. Sales / Customer Service plans
Work closely with Philips Healthcare India, GSSI and specifically the Emerging Markets organization, to develop effective plans and strategies for the sales and customer service of the iXR emerging markets portfolio.

7. Business Controls
Ensure all appropriate business controls are applied throughout the BL in conformance with Philips corporate policies.

8. Quality and Regulatory Management
Responsible for the deployment and implementation of the Quality Policy and Environmental policy of PH in the organization. This includes in particular:
 Responsibility for the quality of the processes used in his unit and the quality and safety of all products and services it supplies, as well as for their constant improvement.
 Responsibility for the implementation of the BEST program and the effectiveness and efficiency of all processes.
 Performing regular Management Reviews within his unit in line with the requirements of the Quality and Environmental Management Systems and ensures adequate follow up
 Ensuring that internal and external audit findings in his unit are timely followed up

Notes
The General Manager manages the DMC India unit in India, within the BU iXR. He deploys the Emerging Markets Business Strategy of the Business Unit by developing and implementing plans supporting the BU’s overall business planning and strategy. The DMC India is based in Mumbai, India. The GM reports directly to the General Manager of the Business Unit iXR and has dotted line reporting to the sector head Healthcare for India for legal-, HR-matters and channel-/BU relation (in line with the emerging markets strategy).
