Responsibilities
To work on 3D Modeling and Assembly module drawing and drafting of various components and sub-assemblies
To create complex layouts, models and drawings using Computer Aided Design tools like ProE 2001, Catia V5
To update feedback from designers in the drawings due for release
To make models & drawings of less complicated items viz. bkts,valves,hoses,pipes,flywheels,intralink concepts
To liaison with various departments that are involved in designing and testing
To prepare and submit purchase indents for part procurements / manufacturing
To effectively contribute to the overall team / company targets
Requirements
Department & Sub function:Engine Design
Education Qualification:Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering
Relevant Experience :1 to 3 years
Reporting to :Manager-Design
Should have knowledge of design concepts of various Internal Combustion (IC) engine components
Should have expertise in design softwares like ProE 2001 along with expertise in Product Data Management (PDM) software
Should possess general knowledge of Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis (DFMEA) tools
Should have good knowledge of fundamentals of engineering, design, drafting and report generation
Should be aware of the Automotive domain
Should possess good interpersonal and communication skills
Should be aware of principles of IC engines
Should know the functional requirements of engine parts
Should have knowledge of basic principles of DFMEA ,New Product Introduction (NPI) and New product classification
Should possess good interpersonal skills and communication skills
Should have good software skills - specifically Pro-E 2001
Should possess good grasping skills with sound academic record. The candidate should possess first class(above 60%) through-out his academic record with-out a year or a six months gap due to failure
1. This post is contractual in nature
2. The contract duration shall vary from 1 to 3 years depending on the duration of the
project
3. Salary shall commensurate with the candidates’ experience
