Responsibilities
To study the customer requirement and convert it into tech specifications.
To Understand and implement benchmarked concepts
To generate the project documents and interact with program management and Marketing for vehicle specification sign offs.
To understand vehicle dynamics, handling and multibody dynamics
To get involved in the new program (at the beginning of project) and work out the vehicle layout

Basic Design responsibility of chassis frame, Engine accessories front axle,steering systems, clutch actuation system & exhaust systems
To lead a team of engineers to guide them to resolve technical issues.
To guide the design team for chassis systems and frames and releasing in PLM.
To do vehicle performance calculations and generate vehicle performance target book.
To work on material specification and interact with the respective departments.
To handle field failures & analysis the same.
To participate in DVP and Testing (Indoor & Outdoor testing)
To continuously interact with Program Management Team and to understand and meet the expectations of the customer.
To co-ordinate with CFT members and different groups for design activities, project monitoring & integration issues
To co-ordinate with proto assembly / proto testing & homologation.
To interact with proto manufacturing and Vendor development team for vehicle prototype building.
To get vehicle tested from the testing team.
To support the auto projects, Vendor deveoplment team and service to launch vehicle and support field failures.
To implement new regulatory norms (CMVR) and get vehicle certification.(CMVR certificate)
To Motivate and Guide subordinates to enable them achieve organisational goals
To Periodically review subordinate performance and identify development needs
To Organise relevant training for employee development
To develop risk taking capabilities and encourage actions to demonstrate the same
To do the PMS evaluation of subordinate team members.
To lead knowledge management efforts to leverage existing knowledge base in different area of the division and provide support to other divisions in terms of knowledge requirement
To foster an environment conducive for innovation & change
To retain skills / expertise developed in Research activities
Requirements
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor of Engineering/Technology in Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent.
At least 9 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Applicants should be Indian citizens or hold relevant residence status.
Preferably Senior Managers specializing in Engineering - Mechanical/Automotive or equivalent. Job role in Supervisor/Team Lead or equivalent.
Should possess in-depth knowledge about advanced chassis aggregate system
Should possess in depth Knowledge of Pro-E Wildfire, Pro-Mechanica,Pro-piping,Pro-mechanica,GD &T,Vismock-up,CAE softwares like Ideas,Nastran.
Should possess knowledge of DMU & PLM Processes
Should know the detailed functioning of other aggregates like Transmission, Engines, Cab / Electrical, ergonomics.
Expertise in design quality systems DFMEA and quality systems like ISO9000 & TS 1649
Expertise in various vehicle systems with core competence in one or two aggretates like chassis/steering/brake/axle/suspension etc.
Expertise in integration of vehicle systems with the inputs/feedback from testing and vehicle testing like vehicle performance testing etc.
Should possess in-depth knowledge about legal requirements, i.e. automotive regulations like CMVR, EEC, ECE, ADR, FMVSS etc.
Should be able to conclude actions based on analysis using CAE / CFD / outdoor & indoor tests
Should have knowledge about new technology and future trends in automotive vehicles
Should have knowledge about various vendors / system suppliers.
Should have good Presentation Skills
Should have good communication skills
Should have excellent people management and conflict management skills.
