The NVIDIA SW Operations team is seeking a broadly experienced and highly motivated software development manager to lead a skilled group of individuals responsible for developing and enhancing NVIDIA's automated build and test infrastructure.
BTI (Build and Test Infrastructure) is a global organization responsible for the development and operation of a world-class, mission-critical, multi-tier distributed computing system that performs millions of automated software builds and tests each day, enabling NVIDIA's high performance development teams across the globe to develop and deliver NVIDIA's industry-leading product line. As manager of BTI Development in Pune, you will collaborate closely with BTI dev and operations teams in the US and Pune team to deliver rock-solid, high-performing infrastructure.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage a high-performing team of system software development engineers to provide world-class software operations and infrastructure for GPU and Mobile system software
- Deliver new system capability
- Drive system reliability and performance improvements
- Achieve high level of accomplishment in collaboration with local and North American teams
- Plan, prioritize, schedule and assign software engineering work to team
- Deliver level-3 support for the BTI software stack
- Develop and manage aggressive, achievable engineering plans aligned with key objectives
- Drive org-wide engineering process improvements
- Contribute to evolving design, development, and implementation, and operation of high quality, robust, enterprise class, mission critical automated build and test framework for driver development
- Participate in root cause and permanent corrective action on major system incidents
- Manage team and individual performance, including coaching and career development for engineers at various career levels
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- BE/BS or MS in Computer Science/IT
- 6 + years of IT and SW experience
- Strong infrastructure software development management experience
- Strong SW operations knowledge (configuration management, build, test)
- Technical depth across broad areas of information technology: operating systems, servers, networks, software, database technology, etc
- History of delivering results in collaboration with North American teams
- Master/Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Related Engineering discipline
