Job description


* This individual will be responsible for the DB2 Subsystem Support on z/OS. This high-energy, results oriented job requires a balance of technical skills and business processes, a sense of urgency resolving problem issues, creativity, work schedule flexibility, adaptability to changing business conditions and a commitment to customer satisfaction


Work with the team on the Installation of DB2 and DB2 Tools for z/OS product versions/releases. Understand and work with the team on apply proactive software maintenance. Work with the team on perform problem diagnostics and resolution. Perform DB2 Subsystem Monitoring, performance and tune knowledge. Work with the team on providing input to management on infrastructure architecture related issues. Basic DB2 performance knowledge on identify improvement opportunities. Conduct Production Readiness Inspections of change events, assessing impacts and risks. Develop wellness check scripts, processes and procedures. Contribute to Root Cause Investigation. Document changes to infrastructure configuration. Update system Configuration and resource definitions when required.


2 to 4 years of Total Experience required
1 to 2 years of minimum Relevant Work Experience required


1. DB2 Basic system programming in an Z/OS operating system. Knowledge of DB2 maintenance / installations Process.


2.Knowledge of Omegamon or TMON - Required Monitoring tool


3. working knowledge of DB2 Independent Vendor Products and DB2 Tools.


4.JCL- Proficient- Required Job Control language


5.TSO/SDSF/JES2/SYSVIEW -Proficient- Required Environment


6.SMP/E -Knowledge - Required


7.IBM RACF- Knowledge- Required Security




15 years of minimum education required
