Description


In this role, you will be joining the IT Engineering team, while working heavily across other Engineering, Operations, and Architecture organizations. You will be responsible for architecture, design, engineering & L3 operations, while being the highest level of expertise across of Intel in messaging.


Responsibilities includes
(1) Architecture: Define product roadmap, and work with vendors to influence their technology direction. Understand the industry direction and drive product strategy beyond immediate group. Define the integration of communications products for optimal user experience and efficient collaboration.
(2) Design & Engineering: Define, develop and test the messaging system. Conduct experimental tests, analyzes engineering options, and use technical data to determine feasibility. Own the first implementation/deployment; define training plans & handoff to Level 1 & Level 2 operations teams. Optimize systems for performance & cost. Responds to customer/client feature requests.
(3) Level 3 Operations: Establish & improve the operations model. Analyze, propose and implement improvements like call reduction, proactive fixes and general support within the service line. Provide 3rd level support and own escalation to vendor as well as end-user escalation and requires being in the on-call rotation (hot pager).


Qualifications


You should possess Bachelors or a Masters degree (or equivalent experience).


Additional Qualification:
- 4+ years experience in Messaging solutions (Exchange 2010, Outlook 2007/2010, Unified Messaging, Ironport, anti-spam, e-mail encryption, Outlook).
- Added benefit to have experience in Microsoft Office applications, Active Directory, McAfee, etc.
- Automation, scripting or development skills.
- High energy and/or motivation coupled with the flexibility this role demands
- Good organization, time and project management skills
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to demonstrate excellent written / verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment, and employ solid project management skills to juggle multiple projects
