Skills/Requirements

Application Engineer or Sr.Application Engineer, responsible for Field Application Engineering (FAE) activities in the Wiring Harness domain.Primary Responsibilities includes Technical product presentations; Tool evaluation/benchmark; Tool deployment and adoption and Customer support of Mentor Graphics’ Harness Design/engineering products. This position will be part of the sales organization and hence all the activities in this role are eventually linked to increasing the business for Mentor Graphics.


Qualification

- 3-5 Years of Extensive working experience in :
- Design/Engineering of Automotive Electrical systems from System Design to Harness Engineering
- Electrical system Simulation & Analysis for Automotive Electricals
- Mentor Graphics’ Harness tools like Vesys, CHS, Cap-H, Zuken’s E3, Cable Designer, Synopsys’ Saber Harness
- Mechanical and Electrical modules of Proe, CatiaV5, Unigraphics NX
- Good understanding of vehicle FMEA (Failure Methods and Effects Analysis)
- Experience in Stress and smoke testing of Electrical Systems in Vehicles, Understanding of Sneak Circuits in vehicles, Troubleshooting capabilities on OEM designs, in-vehicle network design/analysis, Experience/exposure to PLM products like TeamCentre will be highly desired.
- The right candidate should also have a good understanding of the Wiring Harness Industry, should be willing to travel.
- Working experience in an OEM company with a role to liaison with Harness Manufacturers will be a big plus.
