To study, understand and implement engine benchmarked concepts
To be responsible for the basic design activity of engine , its aggregates and engine integration parts, engine related systems etc..
Good "hands on " experience on CAD Packages Pro Engineer/ Catia etc.

Should be able to lead the team of designers for resolution of issues raised by quality, manufacturing, outdoor testing, engine testing teams.
To meet current and future engineering targets.
Good exposure and understanding of CAE packages like Boost , Excite ,Nastran etc
Good knowledge of manufacturing processes to have good design for manufacturability.
To interact with other departments , design and testing agencies to ensure timely completion of design releases.
Analysis of warranty complaints and provide design solutions to resolve these issues.
To Support customer service team in resolving customer issues during new product introduction phase.
Good understanding of engine design and vehicle development NPI process.
To conduct service workshops to educate service teams during new product introduction
To interact with CFT members and different groups for design and development activities, project monitoring & integration issues
To interact with proto manufacturing and project management for prototype building. Interact with vendors for timely delivery of prototype components.
To understand new engine design technologies for implementing new regulatory norms (CMVR, EU) and prepare necessary documentation for submitting to regulation authorities.
To Motivate and Guide subordinates to enable them achieve organisational goals
To Periodically review subordinate performance and identify development needs
To Organise relevant training for employee development
To develop risk taking capabilities and encourage actions to demonstrate the same
To do the PMS evaluation of subordinate team members.
To lead knowledge management efforts to leverage existing knowledge base in different area of the division and provide support to other divisions in terms of knowledge requirement
To foster an environment conducive for innovation & change
To retain skills / expertise developed in Research activities
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor of Engineering/Technology in Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent.
At least 9 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Preferably Senior Managers specializing in Engineering - Mechanical/Automotive or equivalent. Job role in R&D Engineer or equivalent.
Should possess in-depth knowledge on engine operating principles and its interaction with other vehicle aggregates
Exposure to design release process through PLM systems.
Good exposure and understanding of CAE packages like Boost , Excite ,Tycoon, Nastran etc
Should have exposure to worldwide emission standards and regulations.
Should have knowledge of current and future engine technology trends.
Should have good Presentation Skills
Should have good communication skills
Should have excellent people management and conflict management skills.
