Experience Required(Description) : Should be a Graduate / Dip / BE. Should have around 2 - 4 Years of IT Exposure. Should be Microsoft Certified Engineer. Should have experience in administering the Desktop, Laptops, Servers and Backup & Peripherals. Should be able to troubleshoot on Applications, Operating System etc. Should have relevant experience in installation and support of Windows NT/2000/XP etc. Good working knowledge of Active Directory,Group Policies, WINS, DNS, DHCP, Windows Terminal Server,TCP/IP Networking knowledge etc. Knowledge of Network Infrastructure - Hardware, Software, Ethernet Cabling, Ports, IP addresses, NAT boxes. Knowledge of Imaging - Ghost or equivalent. Should have excellent inter-personal and communication skills with the ability to deal with users at all levels in an organisation. Proactive thinking. Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure. Manage time and effort effectively. Be self-motivated and goal-oriented. Be able to communicate complex technological issues and solutions to coworkers and to upper management. Have a strong sense of customer service. Should also be flexible for long working hours.
Roles & Responsiblities
1. The Desktop support Engineers shall provide assistance to the IT users. The Engineers will be deployed full-time as per the project timings as required. 2. The primary responsibilities of Desktop Engineer will be 3. Responsible for providing IT assistance to include application support, hardware and software installation and troubleshooting. 4. Management of user accounts and access controls to client data. 5. Responsible for the implementation, support, administration and management of Windows NT/2000/XP workstations and/or servers. 6. Configuration of Lotus Notes client setup. 7. Configuring Microsoft Outlook / Outlook Express. 8. Perform system software and hardware maintenance, evaluate, test and integrate upgrades to operating systems, support software and applications 9. Response & closure of calls within committed norms. 10. Desktop/phone setup for projects. 11. Reducing repetitive calls. 12. Backup & Restoration etc.
