Description

In this position, you will be building, supporting, integrating, and maintaining servers and application systems to support Intel's business needs, and meet IT standards and computing environment requirements. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Providing first and/or second level support on system related issues (for example, hardware, operating systems, Database, services, and others)
- carry out routine downtime maintenance activities
- Identifying root causes and resolving problems related to system and application functionality
- Conducting performance analysis and addressing gaps to improve performance
- Automate routine activities via scripting

Qualifications

You must possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline. Have basic knoweldge on Windows* 2003* and/or 2008* administration, IIS, Microsoft* SQL*, Internet technologies, and networking protocols. Additional qualifications include:
- Strong communication skills
- A team player
- Understanding of computer systems including operating systems, applications, and network connectivity
- Understanding various client and/or server architectures, operating system build technologies, system patching, system auditing, as well as server build processes
- Ability to cope with demanding work schedules


Business Group

Intel's Information Technology Group (IT) designs, deploys and supports the information technology architecture and hardware/software applications for Intel. This includes the LAN, WAN, telephony, data centers, client PCs, backup and restore, and enterprise applications. IT is also responsible for e-Commerce development, data hosting and delivery of Web content and services.

External Services provides end-to-end Infrastructure & hosting support services for the applications & platform facing externally. Our concentration goes beyond Incident/Problem Management and break and/or fix response. We emphasize making our systems and applications healthy, driving technology consistency, automation, and ensuring consistent service management practices are utilized across DCH
