Description
The position of General Manager of IT Strategy, Architecture and Innovation has responsibility for delivering IT strategic planning, architecture, pathfinding and research. This organization cuts across all areas of IT and Intel business to provide the foundation for the next generation of IT solutions. The charter includes:
-Enterprise & Products architecture: Responsible for architecture plans in support of data, business intelligence, collaboration systems, supply chain, network storage, and more.
-Research & Pathfinding: Deliver relevant and useful proof of concepts jointly with IT Engineering. Focus on technology exploration 3 � 5 years out.
-Human Factors Engineering: Make all IT applications as user friendly and intuitive.
-Innovation, Strategic Planning, and Business Process Engineering: Including corporate wide responsibility for Lean Six Sigma certification and implementation
The General Manager is responsible for setting the strategy and leading the organization to deliver results that enable Intel�s business growth, while continually delivering greater efficiency. The position reports to the Intel CIO and will serve as integral member of IT Staff. The position requires tight partnership and alignment to all IT organizations and Intel Labs and Business Units.
Qualifications
The ideal Candidate will possess the following:
-Executive experience leading and directing a global IT organization with management scope equivalent to one of the Global 500 companies.
-Demonstrated technical leadership and experience in enterprise architecture
-Experience in leading and directing a large organization for high impact results, multisite and global
-Proven ability to influence at senior levels across internal and external stakeholders
-Minimum of 15yrs of IT and/or high technology industry experience
-Experience in setting and implementing global vision and strategies
-Demonstrated commitment to the highest standards of conduct, ethics, and integrity and principle-based decision-making
-Excellent verbal and written communications skills
-BS in technical discipline required as a minimum
Responsible for management of an IT function, site and corporate operation. Day-to-day functional management of the organization, to include performance management, training and development, budgeting and expense control, operational indicator reporting. Requires setting strategies and defining and executing plans. Requires advanced knowledge of a highly technical or professional field. Applies advanced principles, theories, and concepts and contributes to the development of new principles and concepts.
